Our Street Children Volunteer Program is based at Bal Basera (Street Kids Shelter), a center dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating children found at railway stations, bus stops, markets, and busy streets. Through partnerships with local NGOs and authorities, thousands of children have been rescued and reunited with their families or placed into safe environments since 2009.
This program is ideal for volunteers interested in childcare volunteering, teaching abroad, humanitarian projects, community outreach, and meaningful cultural exchange experiences in India.
You’ll work alongside experienced local staff, NGO coordinators, and international volunteers from around the world. A dedicated VWI coordinator is always available to guide and support volunteers throughout the project.
We encourage volunteers to join with an open mind, positive attitude, and genuine desire to help children. Flexibility, patience, teamwork, and cultural respect are important qualities for this project.
