Tour Availabilities: All year round after finishing your volunteering program. Dates are flexible for the tour person who wish only to travel not joining the volunteer program.
Locations: Mcleodganj, Dalai Lama Temple, Museum, Tibetan Market, Truind Trek.
Tour Activities: Visiting the local Mcleodganj, Mountain Trek and Camp.
What is included: Hotel accommodation for 1 Day /1night in Mcleodganj, Trekking activity Staying in Cam & Local Sightseeing.
What is not included: Drop off facility, Meals ,Mineral Water Bottle and any kind of personal expenses.
Day 1- Mcleodganj Reach Mcleodganj in the morning and check in your accommodation. Take a walking tour to explore the little Tibetan town. Visit the Dalai lama temple, Museum and Tibetan market. Stay overnight in the hotel accommodation.
Day 2 - Mcleodganj to Triund (2875 metres / 9 KM / 4 Hours) Get ready in morning and have breakfast. Start trekking the Truind trek at 9:00 a.m. It is a beautiful walk through mixed forests of deodar, oak, and rhododendron. Triund is situated on a ridge with a beautiful view of whole Kangra valley on one side and the Dhauladhar mountain range on the other. Once you finish the trek check into the camps upon arrival for dinner and overnight stay in your camps
Day 3 - Triund to Mcleodganj Wake up to a mesmerizing sunrise at Triund and check out from camps after breakfast. Start trekking back to Mcleodganj to end your trek. Once the trek is finish your program ends. You can go by your own back to Delhi or make any plan to visit the nearby places.
McLeod Ganj is a village in the suburbs of Dharamshala, in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It has an average elevation of 2,082 metres (6,831 feet). It is situated in the lap of Dhauladhar Range, a branch of the southern outer Himalayas. The village is named after Lord David McLeod, the English lieutenant governor of Punjab, who founded it in 1848 as a retreat from the heat of the plains. The suffix Ganj is a common Hindi word for neighbourhood.
Truind Hills are one of the most beautiful as well as most rewarding trekking experience you could ask for. Situated near Dharamsala (Himachal Pradesh),Truind is among the most sought out destinations in Himachal for most tourists, including the people from abroad.You can enjoy the marvellous beauty of the snow-cladded Dhaulodhar mountains from close range here. The top of the hill is a safe spot for putting up your tent and night stay. You can be rest assured of the marvellous view of the sunrise and sunset from the top if you are prepared to stay overnight.Climbing a distance of around 12 to 15kms (3.5-4.5 hours) depending upon the route you take, the trek covers paths filled with flowers as well as scenic himalayan trees.
The Dalai Lama Temple Complex is a beautiful and peaceful place located in Upper Dharamshala, just a short walk away from the Mcleod Ganj Bus Stand. Decorated with the colourful prayer flags, it’s perfect for long serene walks, or early morning meditation with chanting monks.
