This is a really fun project to get a chance to see and interact with elephants up close. The communication ahead of our arrival was all helpful/clear, and the train station pickup on arrival was really handy.
Our guesthouse was well located, clean, and the food was really tasty.
Working with the elephants we got the opportunity to get stuck in with feeding, washing, and mucking out, and the mahouts were all very supportive in guiding us and showing off the animals. They clearly know and care for them a lot.
The weekend’s tourist trips around Jaipur were really nice and as a lot of the sights were spread out it was comforting to have our own driver for the morning so we didn’t have to navigate finding our own transport.
It was an amazing and heart filling experience to be in contact with the enormous beautiful elephants, their committed caretakers and staying with the local family at Prity Guesthouse. I also enjoyed the tours with the Subhash and the tuktuk driver. Overall the guidance and communication was great and felt very safe at all times.
Taking care of the elephants is a very grateful job to be so close and connected to the elephants. We drank a lot of chai and had a lot of fun. They were very enthousiastic involving me and also connect me to the other animals.
The family is very caring and I felt very much at home. Also they took me places which was really nice to learn more about Indian and Jaipur life, including dancing at the Navatri festival! The food was super delicious too.
I even extended my stay!
Il motivo per cui ho deciso di fare volontariato con VWI è: mi è sembrato un ottimo modo per essere esposto a famiglie ed esperienze al di là delle solite "opzioni turistiche". Mi è piaciuta l'idea di lavorare con animali così meravigliosi. Un'opportunità unica! Vorrei dare 10 su 8 alla mia esperienza complessiva e alla mia soddisfazione. Questa esperienza non ha eguali. Se volete provare il gusto della "vera India", questo è il posto giusto. La vostra presenza sarà apprezzata e vi regalerà esperienze che non dimenticherete mai. La famiglia ospitante è stata estremamente cortese, amichevole e disponibile; la stanza era ok; il cibo era assolutamente delizioso. I membri dello staff del progetto sono molto cordiali e hanno fatto del loro meglio per farci sentire a nostro agio. Molto attenti, professionali e cordiali.
Volevo lavorare con gli elefanti da quando avevo 3 anni. Ho trovato il VWI su internet e ho deciso di provarlo. Questo programma è molto buono per interagire con la cura quotidiana degli elefanti e dei loro mahout. La famiglia ospitante è stata molto amichevole e accogliente e mi sono sentita un'ospite, non un cliente pagante. I pasti erano gustosi. Il personale è amichevole e accogliente. Si parla bene l'inglese. Raccomandiamo sicuramente a futuri volontari.
Il servizio di arrivo è andato assolutamente bene. È stato puntuale e il viaggio è stato piacevole. La famiglia ospitante è stata deliziosa. La sistemazione era ottima e il cibo era gustoso. L'autista è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Il servizio di trasporto è stato ottimo. I membri dello staff del progetto sono stati disponibili e disponibili. Ho deciso di fare volontariato con VWI perché volevo lavorare con gli elefanti e volevo che fosse un'esperienza flessibile di una settimana. VWI è stata in grado di accontentarmi. Vorrei dare 10 su 9 alla mia esperienza complessiva e alla mia soddisfazione. Il progetto è stato una grande esperienza e ricorderò per sempre le persone meravigliose che ho incontrato lungo il percorso. Tutti erano estremamente amichevoli e accoglienti. È stato fantastico che il programma includa un tour di 2 giorni a Jaipur e che sia flessibile alle tue esigenze. Mi mancherà molto.
