The program coordinator and driver were equally amazing — warm, friendly, and always happy to show us the beauty of their city. The Jaipur tour included in the program was a lovely bonus that added to the cultural richness of the experience. Overall, I’d give this program a 10/10. Pros: Learning a new culture, supportive family-like environment I’d recommend this program to any traveler looking for a meaningful and memorable volunteer experience! With their help, I even picked up some Hindi, which allowed me to communicate better with families — making our conversations even more engaging and rewarding. As a volunteer, I was welcomed with open arms, and it was truly an honor to build meaningful relationships with both women and children in the community. The staff was incredibly kind and supportive. They always explained things clearly and made sure to involve me whenever there was something interesting to observe or learn. Their guidance made me feel confident and included. I had a genuinely wonderful experience and would definitely recommend VWI to anyone looking for a volunteer program that is both impactful and heartwarming. A Unique and Insightful Medical Volunteering Experience in Jaipur My experience with Volunteering With India was truly unique and enriching. I highly recommend this program, especially for those looking to gain hands-on medical experience while immersing themselves in a new culture. One of my proudest moments was successfully preparing and distributing medicine using the local language—a truly rewarding experience! We have a similar mobile medicine program in my hometown, and I plan to bring back everything I’ve learned here to improve healthcare outreach in my own community. I genuinely enjoyed every day of this experience. The Medical Program with Volunteering With India is truly an incredible adventure. Operating from a mobile bus-ambulance, we assisted the dedicated medical and pharmacy staff of NGO in reaching rural communities around Jaipur—areas that would otherwise have little to no access to proper healthcare. At first, I experienced a strong cultural shock. The differences in patient interaction, limited medical equipment, and a significant language barrier were challenging. At first, I experienced a strong cultural shock. The differences in patient interaction, limited medical equipment, and a significant language barrier were challenging. But despite this, I found myself surrounded by a wonderful and supportive team. Even though I wasn’t performing conventional medical procedures, I genuinely felt like an integral part of the team—and that feeling of contributing made all the difference. This experience not only deepened my understanding of global health disparities but also filled me with purpose. If I had the chance, I would gladly do this program a million times over.
