La maison familiale dans laquelle j'ai séjourné était charmante, et toute la famille m'a accueillie, avant que je ne vise le projet, tous mes courriels ont reçu une réponse très rapide et professionnelle. Pendant mon séjour, le coordinateur du programme et le chauffeur de tuk-tuk ont été très sympathiques et serviables, et la visite de leurs maisons a été une expérience formidable, alors merci à eux pour leur hospitalité. Cependant, j'ai été assez déçue au début car je devais me lever tôt le matin, mais après quelques jours, c'est devenu une habitude car j'ai compris que les travaux d'entretien avaient besoin d'être effectués dès le matin lorsque l'éléphant se réveillait. Je travaille tous les jours de 5 heures à 9 heures du matin. Je viens aussi l'après-midi deux fois par semaine pour préparer les chapati pour les éléphants. J'ai pris soin de 5 éléphants et j'aimerais vraiment les amener tous chez moi. Je suis vraiment triste que mon projet de fin d'études doive retourner à la maison pour étudier. Je reviendrai certainement la prochaine fois. Le projet pour enfants que j'ai visité, seulement pendant deux jours, était par contre formidable et j'ai eu l'impression de contribuer à quelque chose, donc je recommanderais tous les projets proposés par VWI.
Very nice and interesting experience with nice and welcoming people and of course with beautiful elephants! The reasons to choose VWI is I wanted to do an elephant project while I was travelling in India and I found this one on internet.. It seems good, trustful and with a good location. Jaipur is beautiful city to visit in the afternoon and on weekends. The pick service was in time, accommodation was perfect – very nice room and food was good. The project staff members were very nice and Kind. I would like to give VWI 10 out 8 from my overall experience.
We are husband & Wife. Both of us really enjoyed the project it was great to work with elephants. Feeding them, clean up their living area, help the mahouts in their daily work- everything was fantastic & a great experience for how to care these big elephants. The host family house is an excellent location and the family was very welcoming and helpful. When we told them our bad was too hard they found another for us. Everybody on project is very much looking after us and very kind. Really back again with our kids next summers.
J'ai vraiment apprécié l'expérience, mais j'aurais aimé passer un peu plus de temps avec eux. Les mahouts sont très sympathiques, notre coordinateur de programme était une star et totaram ji (chauffeur de taxi) était génial. J'ai participé au projet pendant 3 semaines ; les week-ends, j'ai visité les sites touristiques de Jaipur, Agra et le safari des tigres de Ranthambore. VWI a organisé des services fantastiques. J'ai adoré le dernier jour avec les tigres. Merci Sukret. Je recommande vivement ce projet.
The Indian People i met were very friendly and helped me all the time. The work with Elephants is hard but the elephants such amazing animals. I would like to come again to do this project. They will stay always in my heart. VWI is the best volunteering organization in India. I would like to give them A+ grade in all their services – Airport Arrival Pick up Transfer, Accommodation & Food, Transportation, Project and staff members. They showed me Jaipur Sightseeing and by volunteering with them help me to learn about the Indian people, history and culture.
